The Dutch side have threatened to report Swansea to FIFA after claiming they had reneged on the terms of an agreement struck when Vorm joined the club in a £1.5m deal in 2011.

Vorm was a member of Holland's squad at the World Cup in Brazil and moved to Tottenham last month for what Swansea described as an undisclosed fee.

And Swansea insist they have done everything by the book with respect to Vorm’s transfer to White Hart Lane.

"The transfer of Michel Vorm was conducted and concluded correctly under Premier League rules," a Swansea spokesman said.

"It was approved by the Premier League and also FIFA via their TMS (Transfer Matching) system.

"While we have been in contact with Utrecht as a matter of courtesy, we will continue to conduct our business in the best interest of our football club and our supporters, and not based on the views of other clubs.

"Unlike some countries abroad, we do not have third party ownership of players in Britain.

"The club will not be commenting further on this matter."

Swap deal = no cash. Swansea seem to be in the right here, depending on the wording of the contract. I can see this going to court

ark clattenburg is one of those referees that tends to get stick from both sides cos he likes to let the game flow and is quite lenient, and people only remember the fouls against their own team that go unpunished whilst not noticing the ones they've gotten away with. To pick up 4 yellow cards with clattenburg in charge speaks volumes about your approach to the game mr pellegrini.

astly under-rated goal keeper. Barcelona could have gone out and bought a keeper at any point they liked, but they stuck with him for a reason.
