Falcao 'hints' he's off to PSG, United to meet about Zaha soon, Arsenal are 'in the market', Lukaku staying and...

FALCAO TO PSG?
The day after games is always a slightly slower one for transfer guff in the papers - it's almost as if they have some football to report on. Imagine that.

Thus, The Sun hangs a whole story on a throwaway remark by Radamel Falcao.

He's quoted as saying: "France is a really fantastic country - and PSG have an ambitious sporting project in place."

This is, of course, a 'hint' that he could 'snub Chelsea for a move to Paris St-Germain.'

ZAHA MEETING SHORTLY
It wouldn't be a weekday if there wasn't at least one Wilfried Zaha story in the papers.

The Daily Mirror takes up the baton this morning, reporting that Manchester United's people will meet Crystal Palace's people 'in the next 48 hours' in order to 'thrash out a deal' for the winger.

Fergie wants to close the deal sharpish, apparently, and Zaha caused pants to stir on Fleet Street on Sunday when he apparently tweeted 'Looks like I'm on my way to the top of the Premier League', before denying it was him shortly afterwards.

One of the decisions will be whether or not Zaha stays at Palace on loan for the rest of the season, something that Ian Holloway very much wants to happen.

He wrote in The Sunday Mirror: "I felt it necessary to have a chat with Wilfried this week about what might happen and what definitely won't be happening. Even if we do reach an agreement with a club, it would have to include a clause that Zaha stays put for the rest of the season."

ARSENAL 'IN THE MARKET'
The injury to Mikel Arteta (out for three weeks) of course meant that after the Man City game, Arsene Wenger was asked about his very favourite subject - transfers.

"We are in the market. We try very hard (to strengthen)," he said.

He also stated that nobody would be leaving, which The Daily Mail takes as a 'hint' that Theo Walcott is set to sign a new contract. Hmmm.

LUKAKU TO STAY?
Sounds like Romelu Lukaku is enjoying life at West Brom.

When asked if he wanted to stay at the Hawthorns beyond the end of the season, he said: "Hopefully after the January window we will be able to start talking about that.

"At this time I'm just looking at my own career and West Brom, I don't really care about what Chelsea are doing at the moment."

REMY OFF TO TOON
In case you missed it on Sunday, it seems that Loic Remy will be a Newcastle player shortly.

Details on that one here.

QPR JIGGERY-POKERY
There's obviously plenty of talk about Harry Redknapp wheelin' and dealin', with The Daily Mirror leading the way.

The Mirror claims Harry went to watch Rennes midfielder Yann M'Vila on Saturday, and also wants to sign Peter Odemwingie and Jake Livermore.

However, on the Odemwingie point, Steve Clarke had a thing to say about that: "No one is for sale except Graham Dorrans. We don't want to sell anyone.

"The players know the situation. They know what's what at the club. I don't think anyone really wants to go anywhere.

"There are one or two who've not been involved a lot that will look to go out but that's normal in any squad. The boys are all happy here."

Meanwhile, The Sun reports that Redknapp wants Lille's Salomon Kalou and Swansea's Danny Graham.
