ANY OLD SPURS?
Harry Redknapp has stopped just short of driving a cart past Spurs Lodge and shouting 'bring out your dead' as the papers pretty much all say he wants unwanted Spurs trio David Bentley, Jermaine Jenas and Andros Townsend. He did this before when he was Portsmouth and he picked up Noe Pamarot, Pedro Mendes and Sean Davis. It worked that time so he's going for it again.
As well as that trio, we're expecting QPR to seal deals for Peter Crouch and Christopher Samba. It looks very much like Peter Odemwingie might have scuppered his chances by being a bit of a twit.
GOMIS TO SPURS?
Andre Villas-Boas continues to deny that he's looking for a new striker but the Daily Mirror have other ideas - they claim that Lyon striker Bafetimbi Gomis could still move to Tottenham in a cut-price £8m deal as he's out of contract in the summer. It goes without saying that Leandro Damiao is the club's first-choice striker but that is as complicated as it was seven years ago when that godforesaken rumour began.
So what else for Tottenham? Well, they retain an interest in Mo Diame, according to the Daily Telegraph, as well as interest in Uruguay international left-back Alvaro Pereira. But according to AVB, they definitely won't do anything.
BENT TO STOKE?
Nobody likes deadline day as much as Harry Redknapp and Tony Pulis. The Daily Mirror claim 'Pulis is trying to fund a last-ditch move for Darren Bent with an incredible transfer merry-go-round'. It seems Peter Crouch and Kenwyne Jones might both leave to fund a deal for Bent, who is desperate to get out of Villa.
