JOVETIC ARSENAL'S BIG TARGET
There's a boatload of gossip around this morning, so let's crack on.

The Daily Mirror reports that Arsenal are making plans for the summer, and Fiorentina forward Stevan Jovetic features quite heavily in those plans.

The paper claims that, despite a move for David Villa in January, Arsene Wenger has decided to go for a younger target in the Montenegro striker.

In addition, the paper reports: 'Toulouse midfielder Etienne Capoue, Liverpool keeper Pepe Reina and Marseille defender Nicolas N'koulou will also be watched in the coming months as the Gunners firm up their list of summer targets.

'Arsenal also have Sebastien Squillaci and Andrey Arshavin as potential free agents whose departures will free up wage-bill cash.'

WENGER WANTS VIEIRA
Interesting one in The Daily Mail, who report that it isn't just on-pitch targets that Wenger is looking at.

The paper claims Arsene Wenger wants Patrick Vieira back at the club to take Liam Brady's job as head of youth development.

Brady is set to leave his role next year, and the former French midfielder - currently in a similar role at Manchester City - is the man Wenger wants, it seems.

Dennis Bergkamp is also apparently in the frame, and Vieira is said to be 'tempted' by a return to his old club.

NO LAMPARD TALKS, APPARENTLY
Despite reports that Chelsea have offered Frank Lampard a new contract, his agent has denied any such talks have taken place.

Details here.

BENTEKE TO LEAVE VILLA?
Quick line from The Daily Star, who claim that Christian Benteke will leave the club at the end of the season - even if they stay up.

Bad news for Villa and no mistake, and apparently there will be no shortage of takers, even at an asking price of £16million.

The Star claims: 'Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea are all keen on the hitman, who has scored 14 goals in 27 appearances since joining from Genk last summer in a £7m deal.'

NO RELEASE CLAUSE FOR FELLAINI
Good news for Everton, for Marouane Fellaini has denied there is a fixed-price release clause in his contract.

The Daily Mail - via sportwereld.be - quotes the big Belgian as saying:

"I have heard about Chelsea monitoring me, but I have never spoken with them. Throughout my time at Everton, there has been word on the grapevine of interest from some of England's top teams, but I have never personally sat round the table with any of them.

"If Chelsea want me, they need to come up with something, but they have not done so far. For now, I am very happy with Everton. We are fifth, and if we can climb just one more place, and stay there, we can look forward to playing in the Champions' League.

"Would that make me stay? Maybe yes, because Everton are the team who brought me to England. I have a very good relationship with the manager and my team-mates, and the club are like my family.

"People are talking about Chelsea as if I have already signed, but I am an Everton player, and maybe I will finish the three years left on my contract. If I do end up leaving, it would be up to the club to decide on the price. I have all sorts of clauses in my contract, but there is no fixed fee for releasing me."
