Will Man City really pay £52m for Edinson Cavani? And then add Victor Wanyama too? And Luiz for Barcelona...

CITY TO PAY FOR CAVANI
And when we say 'pay', we really do mean 'pay' as the Daily Mail suggest that Manchester City are willing to pay Edinson Cavani's £52m release clause. After seeing the difference Robin van Persie has made at Manchester United, it seems that City are acknowledging that they need a world-class finisher.

They claim that City 'will offload at least four players to help satisfy the demands of UEFA's financial fair play guidelines', with Edin Dzeko the first name on the list despite the Bosnian being their top scorer this season with 13 goals.

Another name on the wanted list is Victor Wanyama, who was watched by City scouts - as well as representatives from Chelsea and Arsenal - on Tuesday night against Juventus.

BARCA WANT LUIZ
This is certainly not new but the Daily Star are the latest to claim that Chelsea centre-half David Luiz is Barcelona's 'number one summer target'. Actually, they're just copying from Portuguese newspaper A Bola, who claim that Barca boss Tito Vilanova has identified central defence as their weak spot and sees Luiz as the perfect fit.

As Chelsea paid £21m and will be in no hurry to sell, Luiz could cost an awful lot of cash.

LIVERPOOL LIKE ICARDI
Roberto Mancini has already said he's a fan - "He scored a great goal and moved very well and I must say I liked him" - after watching Argentina U20 international Mauro Icardi play for Sampdoria in a 3-1 win over Roma at the weekend, and now the Daily Mail claim that Liverpool have enquired about the youngster along with Manchester City and Spurs.

But bad luck Premier League, it looks very much like this boy is staying in Italy and joining Inter Milan.
