City to replace Sinclair with Lamela, Nani on his way out of United, West Ham want Lambert, Michu happy at Swansea...

CITY IN FOR LAMELA
Now this would be exciting.

If you're not familiar with the work of Erik Lamela, we suggest you correct that post-haste. Roma's Argentinean winger is quite the excting young player, and The Daily Mail reports that Manchester City have spotted this as well.

The paper claims City are looking at Lamela with a view to making a move in the summer, as a replacement for Scott Sinclair, who might as well have been Helen Flanagan for all the good he's done City.

Sinclair apparently could well be sold in the summer, and Lamela - possibly along with current Roma teammate Marquinhos, the young Brazilian defender - may arrive.

NANI FUTURE UNCERTAIN
Interesting one in The Daily Express, who speculate that Nani could be sold in the summer, and believe his omission from the squad to face Real Madrid on Wednesday was the biggest indication that he'll be off.

Apparently Nani was 'desperate' to play against Cristiano Ronaldo, but after his new contract talks hit the skids last year, he is now surplus to requirements at Old Trafford.

The Express reports: 'With only a year left on his current deal he looks set to be sold this summer to make way for Wilfried Zaha's arrival from Crystal Palace. Zenit St Petersburg tried to buy Nani last summer but he is more likely to favour a move to Spain or Portugal - with United unlikely to want to sell him to a Premier League rival.

'Ferguson played down Nani's omission saying: "There were a lot of disappointed players. Nani and Ashley Young - international footballers - and I found it hard to explain to them I was leaving them out."

WEST HAM AFTER LAMBERT
If ever a transfer move just fitted, it's this one.

The Daily Mirror reports that West Ham are sniffing around Rickie Lambert, which is just about perfect really.

The paper claims West Ham will make a summer bid, because: 'The Hammers are big admirers of the marksman whose 11 goals this season make him the highest scoring Englishman in the top flight.

'Lambert is also out of contract at the end of next season.'

Sam Allardyce signs ageing big man. You couldn't make it up.

MICHU HAPPY WHERE HE IS
There has obviously been plenty of talk of Michu being coveted by other clubs after his rather decent start to life at Swansea, but he seems happy to stick around for the moment.

He said: "I am happy at the club.

"If we win the League Cup final we will be in Europe, then I will be very happy. I'm not thinking about any other teams.

"I don't know how long I will be at Swansea. I'm just enjoying it now."
