REAL WANT BALE
Remember that special relationship with Real Madrid that Daniel Levy negotiated as part of the Luka Modric transfer? Sounds like it's coming in handy.

For Real, that is.

The Sunday Telegraph reports that Real have asked Spurs to keep them posted if they ever fancy selling Gareth Bale, with a mind to making a £50million bid in the summer.

Apparently Florentino Perez would like the opportunity to to match any bid for the Welshman, and may make said bid part of his re-election campaign at the end of the season.

LIVERPOOL 'BRACED FOR EXITS'
A story to make Liverpool fans nervous now, and The Sunday Mirror has interpreted the following comments from Brendan Rodgers as him fearing an exodus of the likes of Luis Suarez, Daniel Agger et al.

Rodgers said: "Even clubs that have won the league are faced with having to keep hold of their players. So there's always going to be speculation about players here and we expect that to happen again

"I am a realist. We've got some outstanding players here who other clubs will show interest in.

"But I can only speak from my experience of working with the players here and I think they are all happy.

"Last summer was a pivotal time. A lot of players could have left, and we did lose a lot of experience when Maxi Rodriguez and Craig Bellamy left, but the rest of them decided to stay and some even signed new deals.

"They all seem happy. They seem to want to be here as we move the club forward."

The paper also suggests Brendan will have a bit of a clear-out in the summer, selling Pepe Reina, Martin Skrtel, Jose Enrique, Stewart Downing and Jordan Henderson.

Meanwhile, The Sun reckons Liverpool are in for Lucas Biglia, while The Liverpool Daily Post suggests Ashley Williams is a summer target and The Mail on Sunday suggests they want Wigan's Ali Al-Habsi after being priced out of a move for Asmir Begovic.

BARCA WANT VERMAELEN
Barcelona just can't go a summer without sniffing around an Arsenal player or two, can they?

The Sunday People reports that they're in for Thomas Vermaelen as they 'search for Eric Abidal's eventual successor.'

The paper claims: 'Barca are already scouting potential replacements and they have stepped up their checks on Belgium star Vermaelen.

'It means Gunners boss Arsene Wenger could face another frustrating summer trying to hang on to a key man.'

They also report Arsene Wenger is no longer keen on David Villa, while The Sun reckons they're keen on Victor Valdes.
