The Tiredy Gossip

Simon Mignolet is a target for Arsenal and United, Angel Di Maria offered to United and Liverpool target Dejan Lovren.

MIGNOLET IS WANTED MAN
Our favourite thing about Simon Mignolet is that the Sunderland fans sing his name to the tune of The Lion Sleeps Tonight (a-Mignolet, a-Mignolet, a-Mignolet, a-Mignolet). Our second favourite thing is that he is rather a good goalkeeper.

It seems that Manchester United and Arsenal have noticed the latter (if not the former) and 'are both keeping tabs on the Sunderland keeper', according to The Sun. The Belgian cost Sunderland just £2m when he joined in 2010 but we suspect his price tag has risen into the £7-8m bracket in the last three years.

DI MARIA FOR SALE
Angel Di Maria looked pretty damned good against Manchester United last week, but the Daily Mirror claims that the Argentine winger 'is being offered around Europe to top clubs including Manchester United and Paris Saint Germain' after an 'indifferent season' at the Bernabeu.

The report does not confirm that United are interested or indeed speculate about a price tag, but we would suggest that United should be interested when the alternative is the willing but one-footed Antonio Valencia.

LIVERPOOL LOOK AT LOVREN
'Liverpool are weighing up a summer move for Lyon defender Dejan Lovren,' is a line in the Daily Mail. So what do we know about Lovren? He's 23. He's Croatian. He started his career at Dinamo Zagreb. He's apparently also a target for Chelsea and Everton. He's primarily a centre-back but can also play at right-back. He would probably cost around £7m.

So what do we know about Liverpool? They need a centre-back.

Varicose regent (why do I get shudders when I think of a blue veined prince?) - I think you're on to this prediction lark. I predict that Gill will take over UEFA in a few short years (obviously a better footballer than that French bloke running it now) and he will ensure that the Mickeys get some unpronouncable Russian team every Europa cup. And Pa________________ul (length of space denotes last League win) don;t be dissing your rellies who are above you; especially when sanity 1892 can take the mickey out of a Mickey Mouser

m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.

afa has to be favourite for the Everton job now, surely :) He'll realise his ambition to live and work on Merseyside again, get the best out of whoever plays for them, maybe win some cups and be thoroughly loathed by the toffee fans. What's not to like? Go ead, Ken, gimajob!

hat is arguably the least inspiring England I have ever seen. There is not a single name in that list that makes me think I might actually want to watch this team. Not a one.
