The title and relegation battles may be settled, but it is all still to play for in the fight to secure a top-four finish. Arsenal are favourites to record a victory at Newcastle which will see them secure Champions League football next season, while Tottenham are odds-on to keep up the pressure by beating Sunderland.

m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.
afa has to be favourite for the Everton job now, surely :) He'll realise his ambition to live and work on Merseyside again, get the best out of whoever plays for them, maybe win some cups and be thoroughly loathed by the toffee fans. What's not to like? Go ead, Ken, gimajob!
hat is arguably the least inspiring England I have ever seen. There is not a single name in that list that makes me think I might actually want to watch this team. Not a one.

Not really teeball since Arsenal are bigger rivals than Chelsea are so its to be expected. Especially seeing as Arsenal have St. Totteringham's day that's a strange jibe to make. Personally I'd rather see Arsenal and Spurs in the CL next year as I don't have much beef with Arsenal as I enjoy the rivalry. However if Chelsea were playing 11 Adolf Hitlers I'd probably root for the latter.

Ha ha that is hilarious writing. 'The carrot of the Europa cup' . genius. A deserved pop at both Liverpool and arsenal. And then bentner is coming back! I think the arenal move up to second in the premier League joke table, behind Chelsea of course.

dearg - Yes, I couldn't see the Europa League logic, either. As it is, with Tottenham's run in and Chelsea's supporters, they may still be able to offer him Champions League football. But, at this stage, I doubt the player will be making a decision unless he already has a clear preference already.

Rooney is very over rated player even sir alex has used him to fill gaps in big champions league fixtures, world class attacking players do not man mark or play in defensive positions rooney has played these roles in the past , ryan giggs was picked ahead of rooney because even at 39 giggs is considered a better option, rooney has failed miserably for england the premiership commentators build rooney up and when he under performs they make excuses for him , there is nothing special about his skills he works hard for the team but that is expected from a professional football player at that level , talking about over rating players just look at andy caroll situation considered by many to lead englands attack for many years , I don't understand for what reason these players are over rated .when rooney was playing for everton he was compared with pele and maradona and other commentators jumped on the band wagon saying how good rooney is going to be it was nothing short of a disgrace and being disrespectful to the greats of football the commentator should have been done for blasphemy . It seems to be part of the culture to over rate home grown players especially england players .

Oh and on rubbish players you cant sell, just B*gger off Bendtner. What an embarrassment our loaned out failure list is these days. If we had a goalie on loan somewhere at the moment, there is an entire team were currently paying to sit on a bench somewhere else. You have to laugh at Nicky " the greatest striker in the world" Bentdner though. what a magnificent tool. I just wished he belonged to someone else so I could rib them for it. Still if your gonna give it you have to take it too. We should force him to sell hotdogs and pies at the emirates for his wage. Christ knows no-one wants him to actually play football for us again, perhaps he could come on as half time entertainment. You could sell rotten tomatoes at a pound a bag, both home and away fans can pass their halftime break by pelting him with said rotten fruits.

Bring back bendtner!! he can do everything that giroud can, and he is a better finisher under pressure (giroud does still miss at least 2 a game) and occasionally an effective right winger. If bendtner had been given the run in the team that giroud has had this season he may well have shown why he thinks he is the best in the world.

The Rooney speculation runs a bit deeper than that. Surely when your highest paid player is either not considered fit enough, or not needed, for your biggest game of the season then questions are raised as to whether he's worth the money he's on. Rooney should be at the peak of his career now, he's one of the highest profile players in the world, on the highest salary at the biggest club in the country. However, when it came down to it Fergie preferred a 22 year old full of potential to play behind RvP, and 39 year old to play out of position on the right, and a player who's been out of favour and strongly linked with a transfer away to play on the left. With Kagawa improving its not even certain Rooney is in United's strongest XI. For a player on a reported £200,000 a week, that could be a luxury we can't afford, especially if PSG are offering good money for him. Rooney is not a natural athlete like Giggs, and as he gets closer to 30, he'll only find staying in shape more difficult, and its something he's always struggled with. Its the ideal time to sell him, two years left on his contract, 27 years old. Its decision time. If we don't sell him at the end of the season, then he'll leave for next to nothing. Rooney now is more like a good squad player, capable of doing a job in three or four positions and United now arguably have better options in each position.
