BAYERN MAKE AGUERO PRIORITY
It isn't as if Bayern Munich are struggling too much this season, but Pep Guardiola already seems to be making plans for next summer's spending. And, if the Sunday Mirror is to be believed, those plans revolve around a certain Sergio Aguero.
The paper makes two claims that could be considered as either a) ballsy or b) bullsh*t. Firstly they believe Bayern could offer Robert Lewandowski as part of any deal, immediately after the striker had joined on a free transfer from Dortmund. Secondly, in their final paragraph the Mirror believe that 'City would demand a staggering fee for Aguero - as much as £40million.'
This is a club that spent £19million on Jo. Is £40million for one of Europe's best strikers really 'staggering'?
KHEDIRA ON CITY'S LIST
City are also involved in the Sunday People's big line this morning, claiming that Manuel Pellegrini is plotting a raid of former club Real Madrid for Germany international Sami Khedira.
We have seen Khedira's name banded about in terms of both Chelsea and Manchester United, but with just 20 months remaining on his deal in Madrid, next summer might be the time to press for such a move.
The People also talk figures, stating that £30million would be the fee for the player, whilst Khedira could hope to increase his £2.1million annual wage by £900,000 should he agree to the move.
MANCHESTER RIVALS AFTER PORTO DUO
Sorry but it's all a bit Manchester focus today, but blame the rags for that, not us. The ever reliable Daily Star on Sunday claims that Blue will go against Red in a bid to sign Porto's centre backs Nicolas Otamendi and Eliaquim Mangala.
Argentinean Otamendi is valued at £25million whilst 22-year-old Mangala would be an eye-watering £15m more (WARNING: Both values may have been plucked out of scotch mist).
The Star reckon that City sent International Recruitment Manager (God I love the romance of football) to scout the pair during Porto's 3-1 win over Sporting Lisbon last weekend.
