Arsenal to move for Chicarito, Sami Khedira to United for £35m after Neville mission, Nemanja Matic and more...

I think that most neutrals would agree that whilst Nicklas Bendtner rather talks a good game, N-Ben isn't exactly ideal as the replacement striker for a now title-challenging side.

The Daily Mail have put two and two together and come up with out-of-favour Javier Hernandez as the solution for Arsene Wenger.

It is a move that would make a deal of sense, although whether the Mexican has the required attributes to lead the line on his own would possibly be in doubt.

The Mail claim that the Gunners 'have compiled an extensive dossier on the Mexico striker', presumably made up of several videos of that ridiculous back-header against Stoke a couple of years ago.

We'd say that it's unlikely United would want to sell, but stranger things have happened.

Manchester United are the latest club to be talked of in Sami Khedira terms, with the Daily Mirror reporting that the club sent Phil Neville on a scouting mission to Madrid. I don't know why that makes us smile, but it does.

The Mirror claim that £35million would be sufficient to land a target that would certainly provide some bite to central midfield. Wouldn't look great for Marouane Fellaini, we will say that.

However, given that this very column has included claims that Khedira is set to move to both Manchester City and Chelsea in recent weeks, would it be easier for us all just to wait and see?

Find me a player that has enhanced his reputation more in the last two years than Nemanja Matic and I will give you a shiny new penny. The Serbian, now 25, made only two Premier League appearances for Chelsea before being allowed to join Benfica as part of the deal for David Luiz.

Now Matic is being talked of in glowing terms, linked with some of Europe's highest-profile clubs, with the Sun today reporting that Manchester United and Liverpool are prepared to battle for the player's signature. £25million is the discussed fee.

may well get slated by other United fans for this, but out of the three contenders, I'd far prefer Liverpool to win the title. Yes some elements of their fanbase can be a bit OTT, yes they're our biggest rivals and yes it will make our poor season feel even more like the end of an era (Fergie's gone, Liverpool are back on top). However I just have to applaud Brendan Rodgers and the way he's turned Liverpool around in just a couple of seasons. It...

Please Stop Telling Us What To Think

ooray! We are all excited now, we beat a very mediocre team! With all due respect to WHU supporters, not winning that game shouldn't even be a consideration. This is the problem, there is no winning mentality at the Emirates - we're all congratulating ourselves beating a team that we have a winning record against.

Wenger hails important win

s this meant to be an aspiration for United supporters? Moyes mediocrity strikes again. I see the Bayern boys don't want to sign for him, and his reputation amongst the senior European coaches make other key signings unlikely.
