Rafa wants Agger on loan, Liverpool & Arsenal scrap for Mitroglou, Monaco sniffing around Kyle Walker and...

Hmmm, interesting tale in The Daily Mail, who report that Rafa Benitez would like to borrow Daniel Agger for a bit.

The paper reports that Napoli are keen on a loan move for the Liverpool defender, linking up once again with his former manager and with Pepe Reina, also on loan there from Anfield.

Agger is seemingly behind Martin Skrtel, Kolo Toure and Mamadou Sakho in the pecking order at Liverpool, but he nevertheless perhaps might not want to leave.

He said last month: "Competition is what this club has been about and should always be and that is a good thing because we want to win something.

"I'm not the type of player who needs an explanation, I just carry on with my thing and try to do everything to get back into the team.

"It's been a bit longer than I hoped for but when you get the chance you need to do everything to keep your place."

Quick line in The Daily Star, who report that Liverpool and Arsenal are set to duke it out for a Greek goalscorer.

The man in question is Konstantinos Mitroglou, who has been bagging for fun for Olympiakos.

And it seems both Arsene Wenger and Brendan Rodgers have taken quite a shine to the striker, who would cost something like £7.5million, apparently.

Newcastle are also keen, it says here.

Well, the news keeps coming thick and indeed fast for Spurs fans.

The Daily Telegraph reports that Monaco are about to spend some of their plentiful cash on Kyle Walker.

The paper claims Bacary Sagna had been their target to fill their right-back slot, but not Walker has emerged as their first choice.

The Telegraph claims: 'Walker only signed a new Spurs deal in October that committed him to the club until 2019 and it seems highly unlikely he would be sold.

'But that may not put Monaco off testing Tottenham's resolve with a lucrative offer for the 23-year-old England international.'

Jose Mourinho thinks of everything, and he has clearly spotted that the levels of slapstick at Chelsea aren't what they could be.

Thus, he has his eye on Inter defender and part-time buffoon Andrea Ranocchia, who has 'slipped down the pecking order' at Inter.

That's what The Daily Express says anyway, reporting that Mourinho 'is hoping to tempt Ranocchia, 25, to Stamford Bridge as he prepares for the exit of David Luiz.'

This could be fun. For everyone except Chelsea fans.

may well get slated by other United fans for this, but out of the three contenders, I'd far prefer Liverpool to win the title. Yes some elements of their fanbase can be a bit OTT, yes they're our biggest rivals and yes it will make our poor season feel even more like the end of an era (Fergie's gone, Liverpool are back on top). However I just have to applaud Brendan Rodgers and the way he's turned Liverpool around in just a couple of seasons. It...

Please Stop Telling Us What To Think

ooray! We are all excited now, we beat a very mediocre team! With all due respect to WHU supporters, not winning that game shouldn't even be a consideration. This is the problem, there is no winning mentality at the Emirates - we're all congratulating ourselves beating a team that we have a winning record against.

Wenger hails important win

s this meant to be an aspiration for United supporters? Moyes mediocrity strikes again. I see the Bayern boys don't want to sign for him, and his reputation amongst the senior European coaches make other key signings unlikely.
