LAMELA WANTS TO LEAVE TOTTENHAM
Well, this is a bit of a blow to Spurs. According to the Daily Mirror, record signing Erik Lamela is already eyeing the White Hart Lane exit door with Internazionale and Atletico Madrid keen to take the winger on loan.
Apparently Lamela made a request to leave in January when Andre Villas-Boas was still in charge and it's thought that his position hasn't changed despite Tim Sherwood replacing the Portuguese.
The Mirror report that the 21-year-old feels he has to play every week in order to impress Argentina boss Alejandro Sabella and keep his World Cup dream alive.
However, Spurs have no intention of letting Lamela leave and are expected to rebuff any interest in the playmaker.
CHELSEA CHASE HIGUAIN
According to the Daily Star, Chelsea are plotting a bid for Gonzalo Higuain after struggling to convince Diego Costa to move to the Premier League.
Higuain has scored more goals in 21 appearances for Napoli than the Blues' three strikers have managed in a combined total of 49 matches this season, leading Jose Mourinho to consider a swoop for the Argentine in January.
'Mourinho managed Higuain during his time as Real Madrid boss and it's a factor which could help them win any race to sign the forward,' report the Star.
'The Argentine moved to Napoli for £34.5m in the summer but such is Chelsea's desperation for a top striker they are willing to give Napoli a quick-fire profit on the striker.'
Chelsea could raise funds for the deal by shifting Fernando Torres and Demba Ba.
JUVENTUS TO RIVAL PREM INTEREST IN DI MARIA
Juventus are set to duke it out with a host of Premier League clubs for Angel Di Maria, report TalkSPORT.
The Real Madrid winger was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United last summer, but it's now thought the Reds will face stiff competition from Juve as well as Spurs and Arsenal.
'It is thought the nine-time European Cup winners will let him leave at the end of the season,' claim TalkSPORT.
'And if they do so Serie A Juventus champions are ready to compete for his signature, with manager Antonio Conte keen to deploy the Argentina international alongside Andrea Pirlo, Paul Pogba and Arturo Vidal to complete a formidable midfield line-up.'
