COSTA TO CHELSEA IN SUMMER
We're taking this from the Daily Star but if we also say that it features prominently in The Times, will you keep reading? Still here? Right, the gist is that Chelsea have already decided that Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa will be their big summer signing. He has a £32m release clause and Chelsea are at the front of the queue because he is represented by Jose Mourinho's agent Jorge Mendes. They can't get him in January but they could get him in the summer.
The Times throws in another compelling argument - they could chuck in keeper Thibault Courtois as part of the deal.
TOTTENHAM HAVE A KALOU
'Tottenham are set for talks over a £2.6m deal for Lille's Salomon Kalou, 28, the former Chelsea forward' is the word in the Daily Mail, who claim that the Ivory Coast international 'is expected to hold talks in London on Friday'. This comes despite Lille claiming earlier in this window that he is not for sale. Before you get too sad, Spurs fans, he has scored three goals in his last three games for Lille - which is more than Roberto Soldado.
HAMMERS TO SELL MORRISON
The Daily Telegraph claims that Ravel Morrison is 'confused' by West Ham's intentions, but the newspapers seem to be in little doubt that the former Manchester United midfielder is for sale this January. But for how much? Some say £8m and some say £10m but Fulham will definitely have to pay more than the £5m already mooted.
West Ham assistant boss Neil McDonald said on Thursday: "I would imagine everybody has a price." Even George McCartney? Does he still have a price?
AND THE REST
Arsenal face an uphill battle to land Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata, 21, after Italian giants Inter Milan and Juventus both registered their interest...Tom Ince is ready to sign for mega-rich Monaco, placing major doubt over the future of dad Paul as Blackpool boss...Everton boss Roberto Martinez faces a fight with Benfica for Standard Liege striker Michy Batshuayi...Manchester City are ready to let midfield starlet Abdisalam Ibrahim leave for just £250,000...Crystal Palace have made a new bid for Blackburn skipper Scott Dann - and will take Rovers' striker Leon Best too to 'sweeten' the deal.
Very true @Polishjoe and @tk421 football is all about money these days and not about football and unfortunately there will always be players like Morrison who blow their career down the drain, he isn't the first and won't be the last, unless he can keep out of trouble he will get better. Also any club which is run by a rich owner could quite easily finish like Anzi no matter how much money they are making, they can get bored anyday or decide to pack it in for any number of reasons.- szczesnywedo
