LIVERPOOL TARGET GAITAN
Liverpool have expressed an interest in long-term Manchester United target Nicolas Gaitan, according to TalkSPORT.

The 26-year-old, who scored this gorgeous free-kick last week, is thought to be keen on an exit from Benfica after four years in Lisbon.

'The Reds have lost out on several attacking targets in the last year - most notably Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Willian and Mohamed Salah - and Brendan Rodgers wants to make several high-profile signings if his side secure their first top four finish since 2009,' report TalkSPORT.

'Liverpool have scouted (Gaitan) during some of Benfica's domestic and European fixtures this year and will continue to keep an eye on him until the end of the season.'

Benfica are looking for around £16m for Gaitan, who has six caps for Argentina.

KROOS INTERESTED IN UNITED MOVE
Now here's a story to whet the appetite of Manchester United fans.

According to Toni Kroos' brother Felix, who plays for Werder Bremen, the Bayern Munich midfielder is open to a move to Old Trafford in the summer.

David Moyes has watched Kroos on several occasions with a view to a £30m deal for the German international, but it has previously been claimed that Kroos is merely trying to force Bayern's hand in contract negotiations.

However, here's what Felix had to say: "We have already talked about it," he told Sky Germany of United reports.

"Manchester has been the team of my dreams since I was a child.

"However, I don't give him any advice. He will take a good decision for himself. There are worse situations than having to decide something like that."

MOYES REBUFFED IN COLEMAN MOVE
According to the Daily Mirror, David Moyes is planning a bid for PSV defender Santiago Arias after being rebuffed in his approach for Seamus Coleman.

Everton have apparently told Moyes that Coleman is staying put, forcing Moyes to turn to other targets, with Arias high on his shortlist.

'The Colombian international would be a much cheaper option than Coleman at £8million, as speculation over Rafael's future continues,' report the Mirror.

'And Moyes is thought to have sent his European scouts to check on Arias last week - having caught the eye for club and country this season.'

Meanwhile, United have reportedly joined Arsenal in the race for Remy Cabella after Montpellier refused to return to negotations with Newcastle.

h Daniel. I could spend hours on this subject putting the world to rights. You can even take a step back and ask why football fans (and society in general) have this need to know that something will happen before it actually does. There are times this important, when it comes to things like war, food production and natural disasters. A man you've never met changing his job? Not so much.

reat article. Hits the nail on the head. Encapsulates why I don't read tabloid newspapers anymore. The only thing worse is the 'told you so first' headline when they get lucky.
