SHAW TO MAN UNITED
The headline in the Daily Telegraph is 'Chelsea close in on deals to sign Atletico Madrid left-back Filipe Luis and striker Diego Costa', but we assume that you got bored of reading about Diego Costa a long time ago so we'll concentrate on the left-back situation.

The Telegraph claim that Filipe Luis will cost Chelsea around £16.5m and that move is a tacit admission that Luke Shaw will join Manchester United in a deal that will cost £27m. That is - and this is the official term - a f***-load of money for a full-back.

Anyway, back to Chelsea, and this report claims that 'Costa wants to move to Chelsea who are happy to meet the £31.5million buy-out clause in the striker's contract and will also meet his personal terms'. Chelsea will in turn encourage bids for Fernando Torres and Demba Ba, while they have apparently quoted Everton more than £20m for Romelu Lukaku.

Here's another interesting paragraph: 'Chelsea are also interested in signing the Bayern Munich striker Mario Mandzukic with the Croatian understood to be keen to quit the German club who are signing Robert Lewandowski from Borussia Dortmund. Chelsea scouts have watched Mandzukic in recent weeks.'

But will Mandzukic really want to come and play second fiddle to Diego Costa rather than second fiddle to Lewandowski in Munich? That doesn't make a whole load of sense.

Elsewhere, the Daily Mirror claim that Tottenham midfielder Paulinho is 'desperate' to join Chelsea and the Daily Mail claim that the Blues are chasing Hamburg midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu, who could cost between £5million and £10million.

A CHELSEA OVERHAUL, YOU SAY?
'Jose Mourinho will sell David Luiz this summer to help fund a big-money overhaul of Chelsea's squad,' is the opening paragraph in the Daily Mirror, but surely that's not news - we've been hearing about David Luiz's possible exit since about four minutes after his arrival. This time the price is £30m and the possible suitors are Barcelona and Bayern Munich.

Also leaving could be Torres (a target for Inter Milan), Ba, Samuel Eto'o, John Obi Mikel (linked with Galatsaray and Inter Milan) and Ashley Cole, who could end up at Real Madrid with Carlo Ancelotti. John Terry has apparently been offered HALF his £150,000-a-week wages to stay.

Coming in - according to John Cross, anyway - could be Didier Drogba, Paulinho, Diego Costa (who will now magically cost £50m), Ross Barkley and John Stones, while everybody seems to agree that Thibault Courtois will be back.

SAGNA TO CITY
This is going to hurt Arsenal fans. The Daily Mail say that 'Bacary Sagna will hold talks with Manchester City after the FA Cup Final later this month' after rejecting Arsenal's offer of a three-year contract worth £80,000 a week'. He has spoken to Paris St Germain, Galatasary and Inter Milan already, but wait until the end of the season to see what City are offering.

In other City transfer gossip, the Daily Express repeat some old claims that they could make a stunning move for Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, while the Daily Mirror says they are 'confident of tying up a £20million summer deal for Porto midfielder Fernando'.

AND THE REST
Stoke City are chasing Besiktas striker Hugo Almeida; the 29-year-old has scored 17 goals in 52 games for Portugal...Harry Redknapp has suggested Arsenal could activate Loic Remy's buy-out clause in the summer...Arsenal and Tottenham are ready to battle over Ajax defender Joel Veltman...Everton are lining up a move for 22-year-old Celtic winger James Forrest. Manager Roberto Martinez is also keen to bring in 20-year-old Dundee United defender Andrew Robertson.
