MAN CITY TO BREAK RECORD FOR MESSI
It looks like silly season has started with the Daily Express reporting that Manchester City are plotting a world-record bid for Lionel Messi.

There has been speculation in recent weeks that Messi is unhappy at Barcelona following the club's disastrous end to the campaign, and apparently City are set to test his desire to stay at the Nou Camp with a £164m offer.

'City owner Sheikh Mansour has been keeping tabs on Messi since taking control of the Sky Blues in 2008, and feels the time is right to go after a player some believe to be the greatest of all time,' claim the Express.

'Oil-rich Paris St-Germain have also been linked with the talismanic forward, but City believe their former Barcelona duo Txiki Beguiristain and Ferran Soriano can convince Messi to link up with fellow countryman Sergio Aguero and set the Premier League alight.

'Barcelona could be tempted to cash in as they attempt to rebuild their ageing squad and replace veterans including Carlos Puyol and Victor Valdes.'

MULLER EYES EXIT DOOR
Thomas Muller is the latest Bayern Munich star to be linked with a move to Manchester United as rumours start to grow that the forward is angling for a transfer.

According to the Daily Mail, Muller is frustrated with his role under Pep Guardiola and feels that his World Cup place has been put in jeopardy after rarely playing a full 90 minutes this season.

Report the Mail: 'According to reports in German newspaper Bild, the forward would be open to joining Louis van Gaal's revolution at Old Trafford this summer in a move worth £37million.

'But first he needs to persuade the club's chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge to sell him. Rummenigge told Bild: "If a player does not feel comfortable with Bayern Munich, he must come to my office. Then you have to talk about it."'

LIVERPOOL TARGET ROJO
After their capitulation against Crystal Palace on Monday it's no surprise that Liverpool are planning to strengthen their defence in the summer, with Sporting Lisbon's Marcos Rojo apparently at the top of Brendan Rodgers' shortlist.

The Argentina international can play in either full-back position and has a reported £25m release clause in his contract - which seems a little steep to us.

'Premier League champions or not, Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is expected to build on this season with new additions to shore up his leaky defence,' report the Metro.

'The Northern Irishman has already been linked with Southampton's Luke Shaw and Cardiff's Steven Caulker, among a host of other foreign defenders.'

AND THE REST
Tottenham are considering making a surprise move for Everton manager Roberto Martinez and hope the appeal of a big summer transfer budget may tempt him to London...John Terry fears he has played his last game for Chelsea and may move to Europe. Galatasaray have a long-standing interest in the defender...Swansea forward Wilfried Bony wants to play in the Champions League and could be heading for German side Borussia Dortmund...Arsenal will not sign 31-year-old Swedish midfielder Kim Kallstrom when his loan from Spartak Moscow expires at the end of the season...

Leicester are interested in signing Brighton's £6.5million forward Leonardo Ulloa...Tottenham have had an opening offer of £1.8million for Hajduk Split midfielder Andrija Balic rejected...Aston Villa and Hull City want Augsburg's 6ft 4in midfielder Kevin Vogt...Everton want to sign Manchester City midfielder James Milner this summer in an ambitious swoop...Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has been given the green light to sign Barcelona starlet Cristian Tello...Louis van Gaal has blocked Manchester United winger Nani's summer move to Juventus...

Also, I keep seeing Thomas Muller's face on those Gillette adverts. AND I HATE HIS FACE.

All Platini is doing is making billionaries pay measly fines, so he and his cronies can get rich. If a fool can pay 50 mil for David Luiz, he will happily pay some fine to UEFA. FFP has failed as for it to succeed UEFA had to take it...
