CUT-PRICE FELLAINI UP FOR SALE
Manchester United are ready to cut their losses on Marouane Fellaini, less than a year after making the midfielder their fourth most expensive signing ever.

David Moyes panicked into blowing £27.5million on the Belgium international last summer but, according to The Times, United are already prepared to listen to offers of £15million. Perhaps unsurprisingly, no mention is made of any interested parties.

SHAW WANTS UNITED MOVE
Reports have emerged that Luke Shaw told Southampton on the final day of last season that he wanted to join Manchester United - despite being a Chelsea fan. The Daily Star, the Daily Mail and the BBC are just three of the outlets to bring us the news that England left-back Shaw made his intentions clear after the Saints' final-day 1-1 draw with United.

The BBC claim: 'By that time, United had already made a £27m offer for the left-back.' But Southampton have made it clear that nobody will be following Rickie Lambert out of the door until a new manager is appointed.

BIG PRICE FOR INSIGNE
The Gossip Column can confess that we've never knowingly watched Napoli winger Lorenzo Insigne in action but, according to his president, he is worth 60-70 million Euros. Insigne has been strongly linked to Arsenal but it sounds very much like the man dubbed 'the Italian Messi' (by Goran Pandev) is out of their price bracket.

"Arsenal offers 20 million for Insigne? This makes me laugh. I want to make Insigne rise to a value of 60-70 million," Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis told Repubblica.

WENGER TO CHOOSE MIDFIELDER
Arsene Wenger is set to choose between Morgan Schneiderlin and Clement Grenier as he seeks to strengthen his midfield, according to L'Equipe.

The French newspaper claims discussions have been held, though it is not exactly clear who with or what about, and that either the Southampton holding midfielder or the man he replaced in the French squad this weekend are the two who Wenger has identified as capable of bolstering his squad.

AND THE REST
Newcastle are ready to clinch the signing of French striker Bafetimbi Gomis with a £4million-a-year contract...Jermaine Pennant could be set for a remarkable move to Napoli...Jose Mourinho is not interested in selling midfielder Ramires and will reject the advances of Real Madrid to keep the Brazil star at Chelsea...Manchester City will receive a £2.5million bonus if AC Milan sell Italy striker Mario Balotelli...QPR have made a contract offer to free agent Rio Ferdinand who was released by Manchester United at the end of last season...Real Sociedad want Arsenal to sell their £3.5million buy-back option on striker Carlos Vela.

Please dont print anything to do with Aurelio De Laurentiis again. the only man that talks more BS than him is jose

ven if United were to sign CR7 & Messi to play upfront, the fact remains Fletcher and Cleverly are playing in midfield. That's where the problem is. Fletcher is too slow with an awful pass, while Cleverly is simply rubbish
