SANCHEZ AND STROOTMAN FOR UNITED?
Juventus, Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham have all been linked with a move for Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez but the word from Italy - specifically Gazzetta Dello Sport - is that Manchester United are making serious headway towards a £20m transfer for the Chilean.

Also in the Gazzetta - and in Dutch reports - is the claim that Roma are softening their stance on another United target, with Kevin Strootman thought to be available for around £28m. There seems little doubt that the injured Dutchman is a target for Louis van Gaal.

UNITED LOOK TO UKRAINE
Manchester United are interested in Ukraine winger and erstwhile Liverpool target Yevhen Konoplyanka, but face competition for his signature from Paris Saint-Germain, according to ESPN FC, who also credit Tottenham, Arsenal and Brendan Rodgers' Reds with interest.

'Konoplyanka is not new United manager Louis van Gaal's top target as the Dutchman looks to strengthen his attacking options but he figures on a shortlist of prospective recruits,' claim ESPN, who say that the winger is available for just £12m from Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk.

CARLO COY ON SUAREZ
"It is difficult to improve what we have in attack. Luis Suarez is a fantastic player but it would be a lack of respect to talk about signings at this stage," said spoilsport Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti, who did confirm that Arsenal target Alvaro Morata is likely to leave this summer.

"The player has decided to leave in search of more minutes and the club has agreed it," said Ancelotti, while reports in Spain suggest that Juventus and Wolfsburg are also interested in the young Spaniard.
