UNITED IN FOR JUST ABOUT EVERYBODY
As soon as the dust had settled on their phenomenal victory over Spain on Friday evening, it was clear that half of Louis van Gaal's squad would be linked to his soon-to-be club Manchester United. 2 + 2 continues to equal four.

The Daily Mirror go for the Daley Blind angle, claiming that Ajax could be persuaded for as little as £12million, whilst the Mail on Sunday dredge up the 'Robben to United' rumour for the millionth time. The same paper also claim that Schweinsteiger will be targeted as Van Gaal 'prefers him to Toni Kroos'. Hmmmm. Finally, the Express go slightly more left-field with their shout, claiming that Arsenal's Thomas Vermaelen will be recruited to deal with the loss of Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic.

One thing is clear: Play well in this World Cup and expect to have your name linked with an Old Trafford move within 48 hours.

LIVERPOOL PLOT MARKOVIC MOVE
With Brendan Rodgers seemingly keen to continue Liverpool's attacking style next season, Serbian winger Lazar Markovic is viewed as the perfect piece to fit the jigsaw, a pacey and skilful winger to provide even more attacking verve.

The Daily Mirror reckon that Liverpool will get their man, the paper mentioning a fee of £25million which would indicate that his club Benfica have relaxed their initial valuation of a player who only joined from Partizan in the summer of 2013. The midfielder is still only 20 but has hugely impressed since his move from Partizan Belgrade, the only low point being a red card in the Europa League semi-final that ruled him out of the final.

Luis Suarez, Daniel Sturridge, Raheem Sterling and Lazar Markovic as a front four? That sounds pretty bloody excellent.

LUKAKU INTERESTING SPURS
Perhaps it would now be easier to list the clubs in Europe who don't want Romelu Lukaku, but the Mirror today go big on claims that Mauricio Pochettino is aiming to make the Belgian his big stamp of authority on White Hart Lane. It's certainly one the fans could get on board with.

After Jermain Defoe left and Roberto Soldado continues to lurk in the shadows, a new striker is the evident priority at Spurs this season, and with Diego Costa arriving at Chelsea it seems that Jose Mourinho could be tempted to sell a striker that has never quite fitted properly into Chelsea's plans.

The paper also claim that Dejan Lovren and Lukaku's international team-mate Toby Alderweireld to strengthen a defence that looked rockier than Sylvester Stallone acting in the Canadian mountains.

AND THE REST...
Joe Hart will be given a new five-year deal by Manchester City after the World Cup... Didier Drogba is on the brink of joining Juventus on a two-year deal... Everton are eyeing up Braga midfielder Rafa Silva as an £8million replacement for Gerard Deulofeu... Monaco are sniffing around Sunderland winger Adam Johnson... Liverpool are poised to offload fringe players Conor Coady, Suso and Samed Yesil... Chelsea are eyeing a double swoop for Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric and defender Raphael Varane, and Ramires could go the other way.

QPR are poised to rival West Ham for Nice left-back Timothee Kolodziejczak... Crystal Palace will spark a new war with Cardiff City by bidding £8million for Steven Caulker... Brentford are making a £2million bid for Coventry striker Callum Wilson... Nottingham Forest are stepping up their pursuit of Peterborough striker Britt Assombalonga... Fulham are prepared to up their offer for Leeds striker Ross McCormack to £7million in order to land the Scotland star.

ven if United were to sign CR7 & Messi to play upfront, the fact remains Fletcher and Cleverly are playing in midfield. That's where the problem is. Fletcher is too slow with an awful pass, while Cleverly is simply rubbish
