Zeki Fryers: Returns to England

Tottenham have signed former Manchester United defender Zeki Fryers from Standard Liege.

Fryers, 20, returns to England six months after he left Old Trafford for the Belgian side in the summer.

The full-back, who has been capped at England youth level, is set to initially link up with Spurs' development squad.

"We are delighted to announce that we have reached agreement with Standard Liege for the signing of Zeki Fryers," a statement on Spurs' official website read.

"The young defender, capped by England at Under-16, 17 and 19 level, began his career at Manchester United before joining Standard Liege last summer."
