Sven-Goran Eriksson: Appointed technical director of Al Nasr

Sven-Goran Eriksson has been appointed technical director of Al Nasr in the United Arab Emirates.

The former England boss turned down a job on the coaching staff at German second division side 1860 Munich to move to the Middle East.

The 64-year-old was presented by his new employers at a press conference at the club's Al-Maktoum Stadium this evening, the club announced on their official Twitter site.

Al Nasr, who are coached by former Italy goalkeeper Walter Zenga, currently lie fifth in the UAE Pro League.
