Marouane Fellaini: Has been linked with Chelsea

Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini has been urged to stay on Merseyside by team-mate Kevin Mirallas, despite ongoing speculation linking him with Chelsea.

Fellaini fuelled rumours tipping him for a Stamford Bridge switch when he told Chelsea to make a bid if they want to sign him.

The Belgium international has long been linked with a move to West London but the Blues failed to come forward in last month's transfer window.

The 25-year-old has three years left to run on his contract at Goodison Park and manager David Moyes has spoken of his desire to keep him at the club.

Mirallas, Fellaini's Everton and Belgium team-mate, has also called on the towering midfielder to stay put.

He told The Sun: "We definitely want him to stay. He's a real strength.

"Having Marouane in your team helps because he scares the opposition - although he doesn't scare me because we're always on the same team!"

Mirallas says Fellaini was a major factor in his decision to join Everton from Olympiakos last summer, adding: "He convinced me Everton was the place for me."

m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.
