Wilfried Bony: Still looking for a move

Vitesse Arnhem striker Wilfried Bony appears set to move to Russia before the end of the month.

The highly-rated striker has stated his desire to leave the Eredivisie's surprise-package with a move to England his preferred choice.

But after reported interest from unnamed clubs in Russia, where the transfer window does not close until February 27, Bony is ready to make a move now.

"I hope to leave this winter. My wishes have not changed," the 24-year-old told Voetbal International.

"Yes, the market in Russia is not open for very much longer, but what can I do?

"I can only work and wait. Work and wait and hope I get my chance."

Reports in Holland have suggested Vitesse have asked for 15million euros for the Ivory Coast international, who has only recently returned from the African Nations Cup.

Bony is the Eredivisie's leading scorer this season with 18 goals and his departure would be a blow to Vitesse's European ambitions.

After challenging near the top of the table for the first half of the season Vitesse have dropped to fifth, albeit still only eight points adrift of leaders PSV Eindhoven.
