Andy Webster: Future at Hearts is uncertain

Andy Webster says that because of the continued off-field uncertainty at Hearts he is unsure if his future lies at the club.

The 31-year old is out of contract in the summer and would like to stay but any new deal is likely to be on hugely reduced terms because of the issues off the pitch.

Webster said: "Ultimately, it's employment and I need stability for myself and family.

"Nobody likes it when they come to the end of their contract but you just have to wait and see what happens.

"Once a club knows what is happening off the park - the most important thing is for Hearts to get on an even keel then secondary it's the players' situations."

Webster is enjoying his second spell at the club and admits that it would be a shame should he have to leave. He added: "I've had a great time since coming back to the club, as I did the first time I was here.

"The situation the club is in at the moment means you tend to just take things as they come along."
