Tevez: Wanted by Juventus

Juventus sporting director Beppe Marotta says the Serie A champions are interested in bringing Manchester City star Carlos Tevez to the club next season.

The Old Lady wrapped up their second consecutive Scudetto with three games to spare, but were eliminated from the Champions League at the quarter-final stage by finalists Bayern Munich, and will be keen to add to their attacking options ahead of the 2013/14 campaign.

Tevez recently hinted that the would be open to a move away from Eastlands in the summer, with Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco rumoured to be eyeing the Argentine, but a switch to the Bianconeri might well tempt the striker.

Marotta says the Italian champions are interested in both Tevez and his compatriot Gonzalo Higuain, currently at Real Madrid, but admits a deal for the former Manchester United man is more likely to happen.

"I have to say that Higuain is a bit younger and has a higher market value. Tevez on the other hand has a year left on his contract so maybe between the two, the Tevez deal is easier," he explained.

"We are not the first to notice his quality and experience. He is a player with a big desire to rebuild his career.

"Nevertheless, he is owned by City and we have made no approach to them. It is obvious that even in the event of an agreement with the player, the club still has an important say."

ou know who else Adidas has a deal with? United. You know who else seems to have no qualms in paying buttloads of cash for and to players? United. It's just as likely he could go to United as he could go to Chelsea. Which is to say it's not likely in the slightest.
