Bielsa: Santos talks over

Santos have ended talks with Marcelo Bielsa to become their new coach.

The Brazil club announced in a statement on their website they had failed to reach an agreement with the former Argentina and Chile coach over future plans for the team.

The statement read: "Santos FC announces that talks with Argentinian coach Marcelo Bielsa have come to an end.

"The club and the coach did not successfully reach an agreement over the future of the project, preventing the coach's appointment."

Bielsa, 57, recently left Athletic Bilbao after two years in charge of the Primera Division club.

Santos, who have sold star striker Neymar to Barcelona, parted company with manager Muricy Ramalho last month with the team's Under-20 coach Claudinei Oliveira taking over the reins.

hould have stayed because we carried him for 6.5 years. And then he has a breakthrough season, and was gone soon after. MU fans, you would be as disgusted had C Ronaldo left in 2007 and not 2009.
