Bilel Mohsni: On trial at Rangers

The 25-year-old, who made 80 appearances in three years at Southend, trained at Murray Park today and will join Ally McCoist's squad on their Highland tour, during which they will face Brora Rangers and Elgin City.

The Frenchman had a spell on loan at Ipswich last season and previously interested West Ham.

The club website reported: "No talks about any potential deal have taken place and the arrangement is simply a trial as things stand."

McCoist confirmed his interest in former Hearts centre-back Christophe Berra and Bosnia-Herzegovina international Boris Pandza earlier this week.

Meanwhile, Rangers' first competitive game of the season has been rearranged.

McCoist's side will face Albion Rovers in the Ramsdens Cup first round at Livingston's Braidwood Motor Company Stadium on Sunday, July 28 with kick-off at 4.05pm.
