Jesse Lingard: Staying at Birmingham

Birmingham have extended Jesse Lingard's loan from Manchester United by a further month, keeping him at the club until December 14.

The England Under-21 international has made an impressive start for the Blues since his arrival from Old Trafford last month, scoring five goals in just four appearances.

Having spent a short spell at Leicester last season, the Lancashire-born midfielder returned to United before going on the club's pre-season tour of Asia where he finished top-scorer with four goals.

With first-team opportunities few and far between at the Barclays Premier League champions, Lingard left on loan for Birmingham and has so far enjoyed a successful period with Lee Clark's men in the Sky Bet Championship.

ven if United were to sign CR7 & Messi to play upfront, the fact remains Fletcher and Cleverly are playing in midfield. That's where the problem is. Fletcher is too slow with an awful pass, while Cleverly is simply rubbish
