Roma stalwart Totti moved into second on the all-time list of leading scorers in Serie A by netting his 226th top-flight goal in Sunday's 2-0 win over Parma.

The 36-year-old has not played for Italy since winning the 2006 World Cup, but Prandelli will keep Totti in his thoughts for next year's finals in Brazil.

"Talking about Francesco Totti, Carlo Mazzone (his former coach) is right," said Prandelli.

"If, a month before the World Cup he feels like he does now, physically and mentally, we are obliged to keep him under consideration.

"It was the same with Antonio Di Natale before the European Championship, even if you didn't believe me.

"It's the same for Antonio Cassano. Against Tottenham, he was sensational."
