Schneiderlin has been one of Southampton's stand-put performers this season and there have been calls for him to be given a chance with his country.

However, the midfielder, who has represented France at all age levels from Under 16 to the Under 21s, was again overlooked by Deschamps for the friendly with Holland last week.

Pochettino insists Schneiderlin should not give up hope of winning a call-up in time for the World Cup in Brazil this summer and hopes Deschamps will come and watch the player in action.

"Until the final list is given he has his chances," Pochettino told the Daily Echo.

"I would actually invite the France national manager to come and see him direct as I think he has the skill and the quality to play with the France side and hopefully that will happen.

"I would be very pleased for him if that did happen."

ow is the time for Allardyce to finally get a chance at a big club please. He is likely to have a number of great offers for his services this summer, but who will he choose? Will it be Liverpool, Real Madrid, Dortmund or Man City?
