Swindon have signed former Fulham midfielder Alex Smith signing a one-year deal with the option of an extra year.

The 21-year-old, who had spent the last 11 seasons at Craven Cottage, made his Premier League debut last season.

Smith, who can also play in defence, had spells on loan in League One in 2012/13 with Leyton Orient and Stevenage.
