Damian Martinez: Spending a month on loan with Sheffield Wednesday

The 21-year-old made his Gunners debut last season in the 6-1 Capital One Cup win over Coventry, and he went on to feature in the same competition against Reading as well.

Martinez, who also played one game for League Two side Oxford on loan at the end of last season, is a regular for Arsenal's Under-21 side but has plenty of competition ahead of him for first-team exposure.

He has been capped by Argentina at Under-17 and Under-20 level and has also been called into their senior squad.

Wednesday have been using teenager Cameron Dawson on the bench in recent weeks and Martinez will give them an additional option behind current No 1 Chris Kirkland.
