Cian Bolger: Short loan spell at Colchester

Bolger, 21, arrives at the Weston Homes Community Stadium to provide cover following a raft of injuries while centre-back Matt Taylor has recently returned to Bradford following the completion of his loan stay.

The Republic of Ireland Under-21 international already boasts Football League experience and could make his debut in Saturday's home clash against high-flying Peterborough.

Bolger started out at Leicester and enjoyed three separate loan spells at Bristol Rovers in which he made a total of 52 appearances before signing for Bolton in the January transfer window this year.

He is yet to appear for the Trotters but has featured heavily for the club's Under-21 Development side.

ait, so now he can get injured when he's not on international duty? It's almost as if his previous injury could've happened at any time and being with the England squad had nothing to do with it.
