Wroe made 64 appearances for the Shrews before leaving for North End in May 2012. He was a regular last term but has struggled for game time in 2013-14.

The 28-year-old has rejoined Shrewsbury until December 1, although he can be recalled by their League One rivals after 28 days.

Wroe is likely to go straight into the starting line-up for Town's clash at Brentford on Saturday. He is also free to play for the club in the FA Cup first round next month.
