Midfielder John Mousinho has joined Gillingham from fellow Sky Bet League One side Preston on a loan deal until January 4.

The 27-year-old, a former North End captain, is reunited with interim Gills boss Peter Taylor, who managed him during their time together at Wycombe.

Mousinho has made 32 appearances for the Lilywhites after following ex-manager Graham Westley to Deepdale from Stevenage.

The Gills have confirmed that Mousinho will be eligible to play in the FA Cup clash with Brackley Town this weekend.
