The Italian takes his Blues to Turin knowing a victory is required to keep their UEFA Champions League Group E destiny in their own hands.

With the group hanging in the balance, it had been suggested Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich could wield the axe should his club become the first holders to fail to qualify for the knockout stages the following year.

But Di Matteo said: "I'm not thinking about that. I'm preparing for the game and the team for Tuesday, and have important decisions to make about that.

"We are very confident we can have a good game and, hopefully, a good result."

On reports that the Chelsea dressing room was rocked by a rift after Saturday's shock 2-1 defeat at West Brom, Di Matteo added: "It's important that we communicate with each other, and the players express themselves. I've always encouraged that.

"They need to have belief in themselves, and that's the most important aspect.

"We work together and, at the moment, we're all in it together and believe we have a good group, a good team, and are pulling together."
