David Beckham: All smiles after signing for PSG

David Beckham: All smiles after signing for PSG

Some big-money deals were tied up, with QPR particularly busy as they added Christopher Samba, Jermaine Jenas and Andros Townsend to their squad for the relegation battle.

But Stoke pulled off the biggest surprise, wrapping up a deal for goalkeeper Jack Butland which involves him being loaned straight back to Birmingham.

There was a farce involving West Brom striker Peter Odemwingie, who drove down to London without permission from his club ahead of a proposed move to QPR, only to find the deal had fallen through, leaving him in limbo.

Danny Graham completed his move to Sunderland, Tottenham shelved their January interest in Internacional's Leandro Damiao and Gary Hooper ended up staying at Celtic despite firm interest from Norwich, who added Lucciano Becchio to their striking options.

Oh and David Beckham finally decided who he wants to play for - picking a last tango in Paris with the mighty PSG.
