Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood has denied any knowledge of a takeover of the Premier League club by interests in the Middle East.
he day Tonys hat goes missing for some bantz will be different story altogether..
m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.
afa has to be favourite for the Everton job now, surely :) He'll realise his ambition to live and work on Merseyside again, get the best out of whoever plays for them, maybe win some cups and be thoroughly loathed by the toffee fans. What's not to like? Go ead, Ken, gimajob!
Alan Pardew is 'pretty confident' he will stay as Newcastle manager after ending the season with a defeat by Arsenal.

He is one of a number of solid shouts for players that look old before their time. We also have the final words on lovely D-Beck and a rejection of end of season playoffs...
That's one opinion, but others give their thanks to the man. We also have ideas for a relegation playoff, happy memories of the season and a defence of Liverpool's campaign...

Arsenal don't even need to spend more money than they already spend.. if they had spent the same amount more wisely they'd be doing much better. Wages for bad players are too high..

Hill-Wood is obviously playing Poker-Face... fair dinkum. I don't know if this will actually happen tbh, but if it get's The Silent One out, then good... he's done nothing for us really, has he? Attracted to us purely on the ''Good Business Model'', which pretty much says everything about his interest in Us. I hate the Trophy Buyers. Yeah, it's ruining football atm... but we need obviously another alternative to Kroenke; and given the choice, i'd much rather have an oil-rich Sheikh, than him. Immoral or not- Kroenke doesn't seem to care that we have become a laughing stock; and I, as i'm sure the vast majority of you are too, am completely sick of it. Sick of seeing our best players leave. Something. Has. To. Give

Geddy76 - I agree with you 100% on wanting our success to achieved not by buying all the way. gstokey - thanks for the history lesson, but even the most ardent can see a club slipping not progressing forward, that's the issue we're all faced with....and I amused that good old "Stan" is now ranked alongside our long standing custodians, he who has only bought into us over the last 5 years and he who the board and the fans were strongly and vocally against before and during. Oh, and seriously so there? Good god, who am I responding to?

I cant see a single Arsenal fan on here who has ever wanted to "buy" trophies - that is just a scare-trick by the Wenger brigade. All the fans ever wanted is for Arsenal to spend the amounts it earns on the first team and not to stockpile it. Remember, the fans were promised that if Arsenal left Highbury, we would be challenging the Barca's of this world. Those were Wengers words not mine.

One thing that annoys me about the whole 'Arsenal haven't won anything in the last 8 years' is this - how many team have?? I really don't understand it. We got used to champagne football for beer money under Wenger. There are clearly problems now, but i'd rather have our problems than those of Leeds United, Man Citeh or Chelsea. You know why - cos i'm an ARSENAL fan. Its in my blood. I can't help it. I hate that we are nowhere near where we were a few years ago. I hate that we pay massively over the odds wages for Squillaci, Bendtner, Denilson, Arshavin, and see the likes of RvP and Na$ri leave because we couldn't afford to pay them more - but i dont think we should have paid those players what they get at their new clubs, and i regret far more what we pay the bad players than what we don't pay the good ones. There need to be some serious changes at Arsenal, but getting rid of Wenger, and getting in a Moneybags owner are not the changes that we need - we need to change the wage structure, the scouting and buying policy and the lack of quality tactical/defensive coaching.

Kernowpete - I've just read the rest of your post. Can you tell me (i) how much money Stan has taken out of Arsenal in dividends/other payments and why Usmanov The Big Arsenal Fan has complained about not receiving a penny in dividends?

Kernowpete. Stop bitching about the cost of supporting. There are way over 20,000 seats that cost £37.88 if you have a season ticket (annual cost £985 for 26 EPL, UCL, and FACWExpensiveAmericanPiss matches) and half that price if you are under 16/over 65 (albeit these are in a restricted area with limited numbers). Home matches against the Mighty Swansea and Fine Norwich cost £25. League Cup tickets cost £10. It is not expensive to support Arsenal. It is expensive to support Manchesters, Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs at Arsenal.
