Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has hinted it is not completely certain Rio Ferdinand will join up with England next week.
m curious as to what image Real Madrid are trying to re-establish as I always thought their pre-Jose image was one of a bunch of a classless bullies tapping up whoever they wanted while living it large on borrowed money they're never going to pay back.
t the start of the season, after the RVP transfer, I confidently claimed that Arsenal would finish above United. I now regret it immensely.
aniel Storey generally did very well, going against the City won it last year so they're bound to win it this time grain. As for John Nicholson, I wouldn't trust him to predict correctly what day of the week it will be tomorrow.

Show a bit of class yourself @aguero95thminute. You don't like United and you don't like Rio. We get it. Both are pretty predictable - I dislike your club, and really dislike several of your players. But I hardly think the slow hand-clapping, missed drug test ten years ago and footballer-style general thickness (Twitter bullsh*t) are reasons to hold him up as a particularly bad example of a footballer. 'Class' is in short supply among millionaire footballers. He's no worse than one of your lot I could mention, and the eleven idiots plus idiot manager who wore t-shirts supporting him. Glasshouses/throwing stones mate.

While those of danielrhyd's ilk see a conspiracy by scousers in this, I only see a hapless leader in Hodgson despite his media cheerleaders spinning this every which way. If Ferdinand is not going to be able to play in a tournament 2 years ago, what has changed now? Does not England play two games in a week? And does this man cast his eyes beyond the so-called big teams?

@Harry - where's the fun in that? We haven't even had the stock 'United get away with everything' comments yet. Or the 'If it were any other team's player...' and my favourite, the 'just proves it - classless player from a classless club'. I don't think it's a proper United story until we've seen at least two of those from the conspiracy theorists 'elsewhere in the North'.

I still think he should decline the invitation "for footballing reasons".

Ferdinand is a Grade A Twunt, his hand-clapping of the ref vs. Real, tripping of Torres v Chelsea, 'missed' drug test, constantly tweeting bullsh*t, the man has no class, and Hodgson doesn't need him, he's a slow liability

Ferdinand wasn't snubbed there were just better players fit that is all. I love watching England do well but tbh I could not care if he turns up or not. Rio himself said he loved playing for England so we will see yeah? Much luck the drug tests he promises to go to.

Surely if he pulled out because of medical reasons then he is being a bit petty by letting the England manager pick him in the first place. Why let yourself get picked only to then say I am unable to play because of medical schedule wont allow me.....if this happens, then i can only assume its Rio trying to get his own back.

When will people realise that it's not whether the player wants to play for England, it's whether Fergie will let them. He talked Scholes into early retirement from England, is now telling Rooney that if he wants to carry on with Man U he should tell the FA to clear off, now Ferdinand, then Carrick, Cleverley, Welbeck will have "ankle injuries" that clear up before the next Prem game etc. England need to learn not to rely on ManU players whilst Fergie is still at the helm, don't pick them and avoid the continual let-downs when they fail to show.
