The Uruguayan took his tally for the season to six, two behind strike partner Daniel Sturridge after he too found the net in what was an impressive display from the Reds.

Suarez now heads the betting at 3/1 with Boylesports, despite 5/1 chance Robin van Persie scoring in Manchester United's come-from-behind win against Stoke.

BetVictor's 7/1 about Sturridge means he's fourth favourite, with Sergio Aguero - alongside Suarez on six - a 13/2 chance with Sky Bet and 6/1 generally.

Although the market centres around these four players, both Olivier Giroud and Romelu Lukaku continued their fine runs of form and can now be backed at 12/1.

There was little change to the title betting with Arsenal generally 9/2 and Liverpool still just in front of United, with the pair 8/1 and 10/1 (Boylesports) respectively.

At the other end of the table, Cardiff are 9/4 for relegation after their 0-0 draw with 3/1 chances Norwich. That market continues to be headed by Crystal Palace at 1/10, with Sunderland the only other side trading at odds-on.

Fulham are no bigger than the 4/1 offered by BetVictor and Paddy Power after they produced a lifeless display at Southampton, who ran out convincing winners. Saints are now just 25/1 for a top-four finish and no bigger than 11/2 (BetVictor) to end the season inside the top six.

It was a result which piled further pressure on Martin Jol, who Sky Bet make 2/1 to be the next Premier League manager out of a job.

e have the personnel. The trick is keeping them fit. Carrick and Blind have missed large chunks of the season, while the defence has been one muddled mess of intermittent stooges, all coming and going at various intervals thus far. We may be just short of title winning quality, but we're half way through. An injury crisis to either of the top two could change things. Optimistic, yes, but not unrealistic.

arish is the man to blame for this shambles. Pulis must be chuckling into his left over turkey sandwich. I pray this doesn't mean the Neil Warnock media machine will kick in now and he'll be back on the telly box.

e almost found a new way to lose, just when I thought it was getting boring Giroud does that. Although Arsenal are deservedly called 'soft' the entire midfield is out injured. Still must admit MU are managing to win despite a similar raft of absentees. Think the Gunners have good players but poorly coached.
