TEAMtalk takes a look at all the key Opta statistics following the latest Premier League action which saw Liverpool replace Arsenal at the top of the table after a 3-1 win at Cardiff, with Manchester City, Everton, Newcastle, Tottenham and Manchester United among the other winners.

Liverpool 3 Cardiff City 1

Luis Suarez (19) is the first player in Premier League history to have scored as many as 18 goals in their sides' opening 17 league games of the season.

Luis Suarez has scored 29 goals in 26 Premier League games in 2013. The record for a calendar year in the Premier League is Alan Shearer's 36 goals in 1995.

Suarez's total of 10 goals in December 2013 is the most by any player in a single month of Premier League football.

Raheem Sterling has scored three goals in his last four Premier League appearances, this after scoring just two in his previous 35.

Liverpool have conceded exactly one goal in six of their last seven Premier League games at Anfield.

Jordon Mutch's goal was the first that Cardiff City had scored away from home in the Premier League for 498 minutes.

Liverpool have won six successive Premier League games at Anfield for the first time since March 2010 (8, between Dec 2009 - March 2010).

Liverpool have never won more games (11 - level with 2005-06 & 2008-09) or scored as many goals (42) from their opening 17 matches of a Premier League season.

Liverpool have scored twice as many goals in the first half of Premier League games this season (28) as they have in the second half (14).

Prior to Yohan Cabaye's goal, Crystal Palace had kept three consecutive clean sheets at home and gone 297 minutes without conceding at Selhurst Park in the league.

Cabaye has now scored in consecutive Premier League games for the second time in his Premier League career (also January 2013).

Crystal Palace had just 33% possession in this game. Overall this season they have averaged just 39.8% possession at home, the lowest figure of any side.

Hatem Ben Arfa has scored all three Premier League penalties he has taken for Newcastle, all three of which have come against London sides (Spurs, QPR & C.Palace).

Crystal Palace have now failed to score in three of their four home games in the Premier League against Newcastle United.

The Magpies have scored in 14 of their last 15 PL games, only failing to score in a 0-3 defeat against Swansea.

This is the first time Newcastle have kept back-to-back clean sheets on the road in the Premier League since September 2011.

Yaya Toure has now scored nine Premier League goals this season, making it his most prolific campaign in front of goal with Manchester City.

Only Laurent Robert (5 in 2001/02) has scored more free-kick goals in a single Premier League season.

Joe Hart has never kept a Premier League clean sheet at Craven Cottage (in six appearances).

Man City have now kept just one clean sheet in nine Premier League away games this season (0-0 v Stoke).

Fulham have now scored in their last 11 consecutive home games in the Premier League.

Vincent Kompany is the second player to score at both ends in a Premier League game this season (after Phil Bardsley v Chelsea).

The only time a team has scored more goals after 17 Premier League games than Man City have this season (51) was Man City themselves back in their title winning campaign in 2011/12 (53).

All five goalkeepers that have made their Premier League debut at Old Trafford (excluding Man Utd GKs) have conceded at least one goal and ended up on the losing side (Adrian, van der Sar, Isaaksson, Poom & Szczesny).

Danny Welbeck has scored in successive PL games for the first time since April 2012.

It was Welbeck's first goal at home in the Premier League since October 2012 - he had gone 13 games at Old Trafford without scoring in the competition before this strike.

Wayne Rooney is now top of the assists chart in the Premier League this season with eight.

Ashley Young scored his first Premier League goal since May 2012 (v Swansea). It is the first time he has scored in back-to-back competitive appearances for the Red Devils.

Carlton Cole's goal was his first away from home in the Premier League since netting against West Brom in February 2011, ending a run of 24 away games without a goal.

Adam Lallana's 13th minute strike was Southampton's first goal from outside the box in open play this season.

Lallana now has four Premier League goals this season, one more than he managed in 2012-13.

Tottenham have now gone seven Premier League games without keeping a clean sheet.

Southampton have now gone eight Premier League games without keeping a clean sheet; the current longest run in the top flight.

Emmanuel Adebayor's 25th minute equaliser was the first time a striker has scored for Tottenham in eight Premier League games.

Emmanuel Adebayor has now scored four goals in his last five Premier League appearances and three in two games under interim manager Tim Sherwood.

No Spurs player has provided as many assists in the Premier League this season as Roberto Soldado (3).

Seven of Rickie Lambert's last eight Premier League goals have arrived at home.

Five of Everton's last 11 Premier League goals have come from their full-backs (Coleman 3, Oviedo 2).

Swansea have taken only 38 points from 35 Premier League games in 2013.

Everton's haul of 34 points this season is only two fewer than Roberto Martinez managed in the whole of 2012-13 with Wigan.
