TEAMtalk takes a look at all the key Opta statistics ahead of the weekend's Premier League action with Steven Gerrard primed and ready to add to his 11 goals against Aston Villa - more than he has managed against any other opponent in the Premier League.

Manchester City, who surprisingly have made more errors leading to goals (9) than any other side this season, host Cardiff.

Sunderland v Southampton (12.45pm)

Sunderland are unbeaten in their last six matches in all competitions against Southampton (W3 D3).

Southampton are unbeaten in their last five league trips to the Stadium of Light (W1 D4).

The Saints have scored exactly one goal in each of their last five trips to the Stadium of Light in all competitions.

Sunderland have won fewer points at home in the Premier League this season than any other side (7).

Southampton have won just one of their last seven Premier League away games (W1 D3 L3).

Sunderland have lost only one of their last six Premier League games (W2 D3 L1).

Since December 14th 2013, seven of Southampton's eight Premier League goals have come from Englishmen.

Southampton (9th position) are seven points adrift of 7th place but seven points clear of 10th place.

Sunderland haven't won successive Premier League games since last April.

Artur Boruc has a saves-to-shots ratio of 81% in the Premier League this season, compared to 44% for Kelvin Davis and 38% by Paolo Gazzaniga.

Arsenal v Fulham

Fulham have never won away at Arsenal in any competition, losing 22 of the 27 visits to the Gunners. They have, however, drawn the last two.

Darren Bent has scored eight goals in his last 10 appearances in all competitions against Arsenal, including five in the last four.

Olivier Giroud and Lukas Podolski have both scored three goals in three Barclays Premier League appearances against Fulham.

There have been four red cards in the last six Premier League meetings between these London rivals, but all of them have come at Craven Cottage.

This match will be Arsenal's 200th Premier League London derby (W103 D55 L41 F338 A190) and their 100th on home soil (W58 D25 L16 F184 A91). They have averaged more points per game (1.83) from London derbies than any other team, while only Palace (0.90) have averaged fewer per match than Fulham (0.93).

Manchester City v Cardiff City

This is the first time Cardiff have visited Manchester City in any competition since March 1985 when they escaped with a point after a 2-2 draw.

Cardiff came from behind to beat Man City 3-2 earlier in the season with all five goals in their 3-2 win coming in the second half.

Manchester City have won their last 10 straight Barclays Premier League games at the Etihad Stadium and won 15 of the last 16. Their only defeat in that run came when they had a caretaker manager in charge on the final day of the season in a dead rubber.

The Citizens have scored 38 goals on home soil this season, five more than any other team in Premier League history in their opening 10 home matches.

Cardiff have won none of their last seven Premier League away games (W0 D2 L5).

The Welsh side have failed to score in five of their last six Premier League away matches, netting just once in the other.

Man City are looking to record their seventh successive Premier League win in this game, something only achieved by one team last season (Man Utd).

Manchester City have collected 28 points from their last 10 Premier League games (W9 D1) - three more than any other team over this period.
