It has been suggested that the Brazilian may be tempted to take on a new challenge after drifting in and out of Brendan Rodgers' plans in 2013/14.

An inability to hold down a regular role has cost Lucas a place in Brazil's World Cup squad, as he has been placed on the standby list.

The 27-year-old insists he is in no rush to leave Anfield, though, with a new contract signed in April 2013 and no bids currently on the table for him to consider.

Lucas told FC Inter News: "I can say that at the moment I have received no offers.

"Liverpool have never contacted me regarding this possibility (moving to Inter).

"So I can't say there is a chance of me going to Inter because I am under contract at Liverpool.

"Serie A definitely is a great league though."

While being an admirer of Italian football, Lucas has also sought to play down talk that the presence of countryman and close friend Hernanes at Inter could influence his thinking.

He added: "Us playing together one day? I have known Hernanes for a long time and we have already played together many times at international level.

"He is a fantastic player and a wonderful person."

ow is the time for Allardyce to finally get a chance at a big club please. He is likely to have a number of great offers for his services this summer, but who will he choose? Will it be Liverpool, Real Madrid, Dortmund or Man City?
