Victor Valdes: Won't renew Barcelona deal

Barcelona president Sandro Rosell says "the doors are open" for Victor Valdes to reconsider his decision to quit the club at the end of next season.

The 31-year-old has confirmed his intention to leave when his current deal expires, but he nevertheless received a warm reception from Barca fans during the win over Osasuna on Sunday.

Rosell told fcbarcelona.com: "The doors are open to him. We're here to talk if he reconsiders. We would like it if he stayed at Barca.

"The Camp Nou passes judgement and gives its opinion and that's exactly what happened. The Camp Nou wants Valdes."

Valdes' Barcelona team-mate Sergio Busquets added: "(The supporters) gave Victor the reception he deserved after he has done so much for us."
