Paulinho: Being linked with a big-money move to Europe

Speculation linking the Brazil international with a move to Europe has intensified ahead of the January transfer window.

Manchester City are among those said to be keen, with Roberto Mancini looking for an injection of creativity at the Etihad Stadium.

A big-money bid may tempt Corinthians, but the player will also need to be convinced that the time is right to leave his homeland.

Paulinho has hinted that he is ready to snub any advances, with the 24-year-old prepared to shrug off rumours regarding his future while he focuses on a bid for Club World Cup glory.

He told UOL: "Winning the Club World Cup title won't change anything regarding my plans for 2013. I intend to stay at Corinthians in 2013.

"When other clubs were interested, I told you. But I can tell you that there are no new offers.

"I won't change my opinion. I decided to stay at Corinthians because I can become a champion here."

Paulinho recently penned a contract extension at Corinthians which will keep him at the Sao Paulo-based club until 2015.
