Schofield returns to Rotherham

Danny Schofield has returned to Rotherham after his loan deal with Accrington Stanley expired.

The midfielder made eight appearances for Stanley after moving to the Crown Ground on a temporary basis in September.

Manager Leam Richardson paid tribute to Schofield, whose time in Lancashire was disrupted by injuries.

He told Accrington's official website: "Danny's a great lad and I wish him well.

"He did great for us, even though he struggled with a few injuries, but it's the nature of the loan system that players have to go back."
