Bakary Sako: Has starred for Wolves in difficult season

The summer signing from Saint-Etienne has been one of the few bright sparks in a disappointing season for the Molineux side.

And Saunders has tipped the 24-year-old winger to make it to the very top - if he can improve the defensive side of his game.

"If he doesn't become a top player, I'll be surprised," Saunders told the Birmingham Mail.

"We are going to have a job keeping hold of him.

"I've watched him every day in training and it is not a fluke what he does in games.

"He just needs a bit of educating. He has got a lot to learn but as for his actual talent - there are not many players like that around.

"He has got a great left foot, he can strike it quick, he is strong - the strongest player we have got, probably.

"He is quick and he scores. He crosses the ball with his left foot, he takes people on. He's positive and tries to work back. He can do the other side better but I'll teach him that."
