Shaun Cooper: Suffers injury worry

The 29-year-old defender, whose current loan deal from Crawley ends next Monday, is set to be sidelined for two weeks after tearing a muscle in his hip against Carlisle.

"Shaun's loan is up next week but we'll wait and assess his injury," Pompey's caretaker manager Guy Whittingham told The News.

"Of course we would consider renewing the loan. I think he has done well.

"We'll see when the swelling has gone down and see what he is like.

"We think it's bad enough and it's not one of those where he will be back for next week, so we'll just have to assess it."
