Derek Adams: Ross County boss ignoring Aberdeen speculation

Veteran boss Craig Brown is out of contract at Aberdeen at the end of the season and his future at Pittodrie is uncertain.

Adams has been mooted as a contender to replace Brown after leading Ross County to promotion to the SPL last season and to fifth place in the table this term.

However, ahead of his side's trip to Aberdeen on Tuesday evening, Adams is focusing on the job in hand, with the Staggies just three points adrift of second place.

"I've never been affected by any talk on anything," said Adams. "It's something I don't worry about.

"I enjoy working here and working with these players. It is just great to go to Pittodrie as the manager of Ross County."

Midfielder Paul Lawson is not surprised by the speculation surrounding Adams, saying: "You know you're doing something right when there's speculation.

"It just shows you how good a job he's doing and how well we're doing as a team. If players play well they get linked with moves and when the team does well it's the manager who gets spoken about.

"It's bound to happen when it's going so well but it's down to the manager, the backroom staff and the players. We're all in it together and we're just concentrating on finishing as high as possible."
